Willie Kirk, former manager of Leicester and Everton, is nearing a return to football, having held advanced discussions with Swedish top-flight women’s team Linköping to become their head coach. Kirk, also a former manager of Hibernian and Bristol City and an assistant at Manchester United, has not managed since being dismissed by Leicester in March 2024 due to a relationship with a player. In a later interview, Kirk admitted to making a mistake and accepted responsibility.
