Kick Arrives on Xbox, but Microsoft Denies Any Official Deal
This follows speculation after Kick’s cryptic social media post that suggested a collaboration with Xbox, sparking discussions about a potential partnership. The hint led to assumptions of an official agreement, but Microsoft clarified the situation. An Xbox spokesperson stated there is no formal partnership, explaining that Kick independently launched its app on the Xbox platform. The app is currently under review to ensure compliance with store regulations. Microsoft noted that non-compliant apps might be removed.
Despite the lack of a partnership, Kick’s presence on Xbox places it alongside major platforms like Twitch and YouTube, which already have apps on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This allows users to watch live streams on their consoles, though it’s uncertain if console streaming will be possible.
