The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced on Saturday that the job application from former Barcelona manager and Spain midfielder, Xavi Hernández, for the India head coaching position, was a hoax. Previously, the Indian FA’s national team director mentioned to the Times of India that Xavi’s name was among the applicants. An AIFF technical committee member also noted that pursuing his candidacy was considered too costly.
