The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has released its latest Sports Betting Integrity Report, noting a substantial rise in alerts. This increase underscores the effectiveness of its members’ monitoring and the organization’s improved analytical capabilities.
The report indicates that the IBIA recorded 300 suspicious betting alerts in 2025, a 29% increase from the 232 alerts in the previous year. This rise is attributed to the organization’s expanded global monitoring and enhanced analytics, alongside welcoming new members such as CopyBet, Starcasino, and Oddsgate.
The 300 alerts spanned 16 sports, with soccer and tennis being the most affected, reporting 110 and 74 alerts, respectively. Europe accounted for 35% of the reports, while alerts across the Americas grew.
IBIA’s monitoring helped confirm 54 corrupted matches, resulting in sanctions against 24 individuals across 5 sports. The report’s Africa Focus highlighted 117 alerts on African events from 2021 to 2025, with predictions of Africa’s betting revenue reaching $19.4 billion by 2030.
IBIA’s CEO, Khalid Ali, commented on the data’s reflection of ongoing trends, with soccer and tennis being prominent in suspicious activities. He emphasized the expanded capabilities of their monitoring platform, driven by member intelligence and a commitment to addressing betting-related corruption through collaboration.
Last year, IBIA introduced a 5-year strategy, celebrated its 20th anniversary, and launched a new logo and city.
