Hard Rock Bet Launches in Colorado, Expands U.S. Reach

Hard Rock Bet has officially launched in Colorado, making the Centennial State its ninth active U.S. market. The sportsbook operates under a market access agreement with Johnny Nolon’s Casino in Cripple Creek, a key requirement for licensure in the state. The platform, run by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, is already live in Arizona, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, and Florida, where it holds a market monopoly.

With this launch, Colorado now hosts 13 online sportsbooks, with Hard Rock Bet entering a crowded field alongside operators like DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, and bet365.

Legendary Rewards Drop Feature

Colorado users also gain access to Hard Rock Bet’s new Legendary Rewards Drop, a promotional program that guarantees users access to:

  • Weekly bonus bets
  • Parlay insurance
  • Personalized promotions

Players earn credits with every wager placed and can unlock increasingly valuable rewards as they reach higher levels. The program is integrated with Unity by Hard Rock, the brand’s loyalty ecosystem across hotel, casino, and digital products.

Market Commentary from Leadership

Matt Primeaux, executive managing director, president, and CRO of Hard Rock Bet, emphasized user experience and product depth as key differentiators.

“Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook is bringing an exciting new experience to Colorado players, with deep betting markets on all major sporting events plus local favorites like table tennis and MMA,” Primeaux said. “With our top-rated platform, weekly Legendary Reward Drops, and integration into Unity by Hard Rock, we’re confident that Coloradans are going to love the Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook experience.”

Competitive Landscape: Operators In, Operators Out

While Hard Rock Bet joins an already competitive group in Colorado, the market has also seen contraction. Betsson and ClutchBet both exited the state in 2024, highlighting the operational challenges in Colorado’s regulated betting environment.

Betr, co-founded by Jake Paul, maintains a market-access agreement in the state but has yet to launch.

Colorado continues to attract operators despite regulatory shifts. Earlier this year, the state eliminated promotional bet deductions from taxable revenue, though the GGR tax rate remains at 10%.

Broader Growth Strategy for Hard Rock Digital

The Colorado launch follows broader investment in Hard Rock Digital’s marketing and leadership capabilities. Earlier in 2025, the company hired Sarah Durkin, former Better Collective executive, and Zachary Sold, previously with Caesars Entertainment.

“Hard Rock Digital is in growth mode, and we’re thrilled to be able to attract top talent like Sarah and Zachary,” Primeaux said. “With their years of industry experience and past success, we look forward to them leading our marketing teams to new heights in these vitally important areas.”

Betting Implications in Colorado

Hard Rock Bet’s entry provides a new option for Colorado bettors as the NFL and college football seasons approach. With competitive odds, cross-platform rewards, and user-friendly app design, the operator is positioning itself to gain share in a market where customer loyalty often hinges on value-added experiences.

Whether you’re backing the Broncos to cover the spread or building UFC parlays, Hard Rock Bet adds another viable sportsbook to consider in Colorado.
