Auckland is now close to securing the top spot on the A-League Men table after a comical own goal by goalkeeper Josh Oluwayemi led to Wellington’s 5-0 loss in the New Zealand derby.
Oluwayemi’s mistake in the 24th minute is likely to become a memorable moment in goalkeeper error compilations, as the Phoenix No 1 completely misjudged Jake Girdwood-Reich’s clearance at Sky Stadium in Wellington on Saturday.
