In a thrilling conclusion to Week 4 of the Call of Duty League’s Stage 1 Major Qualifiers on Sunday, G2 Minnesota snapped FaZe Vegas impressive winning run, while the Los Angeles Thieves handed OpTic Texas a tough defeat.
These outcomes created a three way deadlock at the top of the standings, with FaZe Vegas and OpTic Texas both dropping to 4-2 records, joining the Riyadh Falcons in a tie for first place. The Los Angeles Thieves sit just a half-game back among a cluster of teams at 3-2.
The 12 team qualifier format awards 10 CDL points per victory, and while every squad advances to the Major 1 event (set for Jan. 29–Feb. 1 in Dallas), these results will decide upper or lower bracket seeding for the tournament.
G2 Minnesota delivered a comeback performance to topple FaZe Vegas 3-1. After falling 250-193 on Blackheart Hardpoint, G2 bounced back with tight wins, 6-5 on Raid Search and Destroy, 2-1 on Den Overload, and a decisive 250-200 on Colossus Hardpoint. The victory ended FaZe’s unbeaten streak since their opening day loss to the Thieves.
The Los Angeles Thieves followed a similar script against OpTic Texas, dropping the first map 250-216 on Exposure Hardpoint before storming back. They cruised to a 6-1 victory on Scar Search and Destroy, dominated 5-1 on Exposure Overload, and sealed the 3-1 series win with a 250-213 triumph on Scar Hardpoint with Kenny sealing player of the match.

In the day’s other matchup, Boston Breach staged an impressive reverse sweep, overcoming a 2-0 deficit to defeat Cloud9 New York in a full five map series. New York took Scar Hardpoint 250-212 and Den Overload 6-4, but Boston fought back with a 4-3 win on Scar Overload, followed by a commanding 250-105 on Colossus Hardpoint and a shutout 6-0 on Exposure Search and Destroy.
