French Open betting tips: Day 13 predictions

After a thrilling day of women’s semi-finals on Thursday, the men take centre stage today at the 2025 French Open.

Up first is a clash between two of the best clay court players in the world, Lorenzo Musetti and Carlos Alcaraz. Following that is the big one – Novak Djokovic vs  Jannik Sinner in a match that many are labelling a must-watch sporting occasion.

The winners of both matches will then go head-to-head on Sunday for the title and the second Grand Slam of the season.

Ahead of both clashes later today, check out our French Open betting tips below.

French Open betting tips: Day 13

Carlos Alcaraz 3-1 Lorenzo Musetti (3/1)

Carlos Alcaraz was at his brilliant best in the quarter-final against Tommy Paul and his 3-0 rout over the American was an indication that he has found his best form at the perfect time. However, a repeat scoreline today feels unlikely given Musetti’s credentials on clay.

Musetti has only lost three of his last 21 matches on a clay court, but perhaps importantly, two of those have been to Alcaraz. However, has has very rarely just been swept aside by the talented Spaniard. In four previous matches on clay against Alcaraz, Musetti has taken a set off in three of them and in the only straight sets loss, he took him to a tie break in one of the sets.

What’s more, Alcaraz’s win over Paul in the previous round was just the second time in the tournament that he had won 3-0, with the only other occasion coming against Giulio Zeppieri, who is currently ranked outside the world’s top 300.

In fact, 3-1 has been his most common scoreline all tournament, with three of his five matches finishing in this manner.

Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic over 38.5 games (11/10)

A cloud remains over Jannik Sinner’s head following the recent doping controversy, and it’s difficult to imagine that ever disappearing. However, if we take his innocence at face value, then his form since returning from his ban has been nothing short of sublime, and he has earned his status as the heavy favourite for this match with top tennis betting sites.

At Roland Garros, he is yet to drop a set and has only been taken to seven games on two occasions. It feels impossible that he does the same to the great Novak Djokovic and the Serbian’s own form throughout the tournament, suggests he has enough in the locker to at least take a set from the Italian.

Assuming Djokovic does take a set from Sinner, then over 38.5 games should be in the bag instantly, as tie breaks and long sets are anticipated throughout. Even if either player were to win in straight sets via three consecutive tie breaks, the bet would also be covered.

For reference, the overall H2H record between these two players is 4-4, and the overall record on clay is 1-0 to Djokovic.
