Today’s fluff is feeling fresh
Being deemed not good enough by Pep Guardiola can be quite affirming for a player. Over recent years, James Trafford, Morgan Rogers, Roméo Lavia, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Douglas Luiz, and Cole Palmer have all left Manchester City to later prove their former manager wrong. James McAtee could soon join that group. With his price set at £35m, both West Ham and Eintracht Frankfurt have shown interest.
Meanwhile, in the opposite part of Manchester, players seem to decline after arrival. Bryan Mbeumo is the latest to risk his prospects and reputation, and with his medical completed, his transfer from Brentford is near completion. Yet, to ensure a dismal mess before likely getting sacked in the November international break, Ruben Amorim requires more, with a center-forward being a priority. He remains interested in Viktor Gyökeres, as Arsenal hasn’t finalized a deal with Sporting, but Pio Esposito won’t be leaving Inter despite interest from United and Atalanta.
