Sunday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me remain in Germany, but climb up into the Bundesliga, and I’ve highlighted a goals-based selection in one of the fixtures.

Two clubs separated by a solitary point in the Bundesliga table meet at Europa-Park Stadion on Sunday afternoon as ninth-placed Freiburg hosts eighth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt in what should be an entertaining encounter.

Julian Schuster’s hosts have scored nine goals across their opening six Bundesliga fixtures this campaign, with five (56%) of them coming in front of their supporters.

The Breisgau Brazilians have failed to score in just three of their past 20 Bundesliga contests on home soil – scoring 2+ goals in 10 (50%) of them – and will be confident of breaching a Frankfurt backline that is yet to record a clean sheet in the Bundesliga/Champions League this season, shipping multiple goals in four of their last five clashes.

Dino Toppmoller’s hosts have fired in a remarkable 23 goals across their opening eight Bundesliga and Champions League fixtures this campaign, with 11 (48%) of them coming on their travels.

Die Adler have only failed to score against Bayern in those eight encounters mentioned above – slamming in multiple goals in five (63%) of them – and will look to trouble a Freiburg defence that has kept just four clean sheets at home since the beginning of last season, shipping 2+ goals in six of the previous eight.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s opening eight Bundesliga and Champions League fixtures this season have averaged a whopping 5.63 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score
banking in seven (88%) of them, whilst all eight (100%) have gone Over 2.5 Goals 4-1, 3-1, 1-3, 5-1, 3-4, 6-4 & 1-5).

What’s more, the last four meetings between these two sides have averaged a staggering 5.50 goals per game, with Both Teams to Score & Over 2.5 Goals paying out on each occasion, and I’m expecting another high-scoring clash in the Black Forest between these two on Sunday afternoon.
