He plans to pay off his mortgage and assist his children in purchasing homes. The winning ticket was drawn on Saturday, July 12, 2025, making him nearly a millionaire.
The win came with some surprises. The man hadn’t registered his ticket, prompting a hasty trip to the lottery office to confirm his prize. Concerns over losing or damaging the ticket were on his mind as he verified his win.
“I’ll be paying off the mortgage for sure. Then I’ll put some aside for the kids and their home deposits! I’m sure I’ll enjoy the rest, but be very responsible with it,” he shared with media outlets.
The ticket was purchased from Echuca Lucky Lotto on 196 Hare Street. The shop manager, Eric Davey, expressed his delight at having another big winner.
