Father Wins AU$900K in Lottery, Aids Adult Children in Homeownership - SCCG Management

A man from Echuca, Victoria, Australia, is celebrating after winning AU$919,034 in the lottery, allowing him to make significant life changes. He plans to pay off his mortgage and assist his children in purchasing homes. The winning ticket was drawn on Saturday, July 12, 2025, making him nearly a millionaire.

The win came with some surprises. The man hadn’t registered his ticket, prompting a hasty trip to the lottery office to confirm his prize. Concerns over losing or damaging the ticket were on his mind as he verified his win.

“I’ll be paying off the mortgage for sure. Then I’ll put some aside for the kids and their home deposits! I’m sure I’ll enjoy the rest, but be very responsible with it,” he shared with media outlets.

The ticket was purchased from Echuca Lucky Lotto on 196 Hare Street. The shop manager, Eric Davey, expressed his delight at having another big winner.

“We hope our division one winner can enjoy their prize and get to experience their dreams come true. Congratulations and all the very best from the Echuca Lucky Lotto team,” Davey said.

Further details of the winner’s plans are not yet available, including the number of children or the amount each will receive. However, the funds will help them achieve the Great Australian Dream.

The winning numbers were 36, 9, 37, 35, 23, and 29, with supplementary numbers 20 and 31 in the TattsLotto game.
