FanDuel Submits Application to Enter Missouri Sports Betting Market - SCCG Management

FanDuel has applied for an untethered online sports betting license from the Missouri Gaming Commission. Currently, Missouri regulators have received three applications for sports betting licenses, with the market set to launch on December 1, 2025.

The Missouri Gaming Commission is accepting untethered online sports betting license applications until July 15, with two direct licenses available. FanDuel and DraftKings have applied for these valuable untethered licenses, which allow operators to enter the market without partnering with a Missouri casino or sports franchise.

The commission can issue up to 19 retail and 14 online sports betting licenses. Underdog is the only applicant for both retail and online licenses without announcing a market access partner.

Key dates for Missouri’s sports betting schedule include:
– July 15: Deadline for direct online sports betting license applications
– Aug. 13: Direct license applicants may present to the commission
– Aug. 15: Announcement of selected direct license holders
– Sept. 12: Completion deadline for all other license applications
– Dec. 1: Sports betting launch deadline

Market access agreements are still being finalized. BetMGM confirmed a partnership with Century Casinos, allowing both online and retail operations in Missouri, with a revenue-sharing agreement. Meanwhile, bet365 and the St. Louis Cardinals entered a sports betting partnership in March, offering market access in Missouri.
