The draw for the last 32 will start at 6.35pm GMT at Anfield. One of the narratives at Anfield tonight involves former Liverpool academy players, Adam Phillips and Vimal Yoganathan, now with Barnsley. Both were part of the youth system, with Yoganathan spending seven years and Phillips eight before their release.
Upon learning about returning to Anfield, Phillips told BBC Sport: “I ran upstairs screaming to my missus. I couldn’t believe it, I’m still a massive Liverpool fan. I’ll get goosebumps when You’ll Never Walk Alone is played. The dream was always to play for Liverpool but not many make it, so I’m happy to play there for Barnsley. It’ll be a special experience.”
