Eberechi Eze, currently out of favor with Mikel Arteta, has scored 18 of his 38 Premier League goals towards the end of the season. In a recent interview, Eze shared a revealing motto reflecting his current situation at Arsenal: “It’s not about now. It’s the long game,” as he mentioned on the Men in Blazers podcast before the north London derby.
Patience has consistently marked Eze’s career since he was released by Arsenal at 13, facing rejection from multiple clubs until he found a place at Queens Park Rangers. Despite an impressive £67.5m move back to Arsenal from Crystal Palace, highlighted by a hat-trick against Tottenham in November, Eze’s goals have since dwindled as Arteta seems to have lost confidence in the England forward.
