Former Canada women’s football coach Bev Priestman has expressed that she “didn’t feel safe” living in North America after her one-year ban for spying during the Paris Olympics. Wellington Phoenix announced on Wednesday that Priestman will become the head coach of their women’s team, marking her return to football in New Zealand, the country she was banned from for using a drone for spying. She has signed a two-year contract with the team.
