England’s Lionesses turned a deficit into a victory on penalties in Zurich.
The reigning champions are set to face Italy for a spot in the final.
England fans in Zurich were recovering from the Euro 2025 penalty shootout drama against Sweden on Friday, with one describing the scene as “absolute madness in the stands” after the team rallied from a two-goal deficit.
England’s official ticket allocation of 2,099 at Stadion Letzigrund sold out, yet there were an additional 10,000 England fans present, including Louisa Holden-Morris from Crewe, who was at her 13th match of the tournament. She shared with the Guardian that she could hardly bear to watch the penalties.
