They will compete in the 2025 College World Series final, a best-of-three series at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Nebraska. Although LSU is favored in the College World Series odds, it’s a close call against Coastal Carolina from the Sun Belt.

Conversely, Coastal Carolina was a massive +10000 longshot in February and only improved to +2800 for the tournament’s start. By the time the final eight teams gathered in Nebraska, the Chanticleers were the +600 third-favorite.
Coastal Carolina swept Bracket 1 with a 3-0 record, defeating Arizona (7-4), Oregon State (6-2), and Louisville (11-3), resulting in a +15 run differential over the first three rounds. Similarly, LSU dominated Bracket 2, overcoming Arkansas (4-1), UCLA (9-5), and a second victory over Arkansas in the semifinals (6-5). LSU’s second victory over Arkansas featured a dramatic bottom-of-the-ninth comeback from 5-3, capped by Jared Jones’ walk-off single.
