The Chicago Fire unveiled plans on Tuesday for a $650 million soccer-specific stadium located in the South Loop of Chicago. This new venue, intended to seat 22,000 people, will be part of a larger development project named “The 78.” The stadium is set to open in the spring of 2028 and will not require public funding, as confirmed by the team’s owner, Joe Mansueto. This will be the 22nd soccer-specific stadium in Major League Soccer.
