Celtic aim to finalize negotiations with Wilfried Nancy this weekend as the Columbus Crew manager is set to succeed Brendan Rodgers in Glasgow. The club has informed the Major League Soccer team of their intentions, and securing any necessary compensation for the Frenchman is not seen as an issue. Nancy appears interested in the transition.
Celtic plan to have Nancy ready for their match against St Mirren next weekend, concluding Martin O’Neill’s interim period. O’Neill was scheduled to meet with Celtic’s primary shareholder, Dermot Desmond, in London on Friday. Rodgers’ second stint with Celtic ended contentiously in late October, with Desmond publicly criticizing the ex-Liverpool manager.
