Billionaire Tony Bloom, owner of Brighton & Hove Albion FC, is under scrutiny over allegations of being an anonymous gambler associated with $70m (£52m) in winnings, supposedly involving bets on his own teams. Bloom, known as one of the most successful professional gamblers globally, is alleged to be the “John Doe” mentioned in a US legal case aimed at revealing the identity of the person behind this profitable streak. He denies the allegations of betting on his teams.
