Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco, at 41, has been selected for his first Pro Bowl as an alternate. Starting the 2025 season with the Cleveland Browns, he was benched for four games before being traded to the Bengals on October 7 due to Joe Burrow’s injury. In nine games with Cincinnati, Flacco achieved 1,664 passing yards, 13 touchdowns, four interceptions, a 61.7% completion rate, and a 91.1 passer rating. This accolade adds to his achievements such as winning Super Bowl XLVII, earning Super Bowl MVP, and the 2023 Comeback Player of the Year award. After leaving the Baltimore Ravens, Flacco has moved between teams over several seasons. While the Bengals are interested in retaining him as Burrow’s backup, Flacco seeks a starting role and is not considering retirement. He is set to enter free agency, where he is expected to attract significant interest as a reliable quarterback option. Flacco has expressed continued passion for football, stating he hasn’t “fallen out of love with the game.”
