Director Gurinder Chadha OBE plans to revive the story
Emma Hayes to collaborate on the film
Over twenty years after Bend It Like Beckham was released, writer and director Gurinder Chadha OBE has announced plans to revisit the popular story.
Ahead of the 2025 Euros final, where the Lionesses will face Spain in Basel, Chadha revealed intentions for a follow-up to the film featuring Parminder Nagra, Keira Knightley, and Jonathan Rhys Meyers. The format, whether a sequel, series, or alternative, is yet to be determined.
