NY Takes a Stand on Sweepstakes Casinos – Which State Will Be Next?
New York is advancing legislation (SB 5935) to eliminate online sweepstakes casinos, which offer casino-style games without proper regulation. Authored by Sen. Joseph Addabbo, the bill aims to protect consumers and state casinos by imposing heavy fines and license revocations. Similar efforts are underway in other states, signaling a nationwide crackdown on unregulated online gambling.
