Andrew Robertson concedes Liverpool faces a “huge uphill battle” to retain their title after a 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday, dropping Arne Slot’s squad to eighth place.
This was their fifth defeat in six league games, placing Liverpool eight points behind Arsenal after 11 matches. Robertson stated: “We’ve clearly made it tough for ourselves, but I doubt any team will really evaluate the standings until mid-season. That’s our goal, but our focus needs to be on consistently earning points. We should assess our position after the festive period. It’s crucial to focus on our own performances.”
