Manager expresses emotional response to fans’ tribute
Simone Inzaghi confident in Inter’s future resurgence
As Paris Saint-Germain celebrated their inaugural Champions League victory, Luis Enrique reflected on his late daughter. Six years prior, Xana passed away due to osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, at nine years old. In his coaching pinnacle, Luis Enrique honored the memory of the daughter he described as “always in my heart.”
At full-time, Paris fans revealed a tifo showing Luis and Xana, reminiscent of the 2015 moment when he planted a flag with her after Barcelona’s Champions League win. “The fan’s banner for my family was very emotional,” Luis Enrique commented. “I think of my daughter always.”
