Xana passed away six years ago from osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer, at the age of nine. In the pinnacle moment of his coaching career, Luis Enrique honored the memory of his child, saying she was “always in my heart.”
Following the final whistle, the Paris fans revealed a tifo featuring Luis and Xana, capturing the scene when he placed a flag on the pitch with her after winning the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015. “The banner from the fans for my family was very emotional,” Luis Enrique expressed. “But I always think about my daughter.”
