2025 Brickyard 400 Preview
This year’s race returns to the historic 2.5‑mile oval format for 160 laps. As the fifth and final round of the inaugural In‑Season Challenge, only two drivers remain eligible for the $1 million prize. Ty Gibbs and Ty Dillon are certainly not the names you’d think of to be the final two in that competition. But one of them will put their name in the NASCAR history books here. That dramatic subplot adds layers of tension to a race that is already steeped in history.
Track history favors those with strong oval credentials. Tyler Reddick leads all current drivers in average finish at Indy with a fifth‑place finish and two top‑10s. Joey Logano has respectable stats too with four top‑5s and eight top‑10s under his belt. Christopher Bell sits around eighth on average based on a small sample size there.

- Value angle: At +1100 I think that Reddick is the best value in the field relative to his chances of winning this race.
Final Thoughts
The Brickyard 400 looms as one of NASCAR’s most compelling races this season. There is a million-dollar prize for the In‑Season Challenge winner. But my focus on the full-season standings leads me to bet Reddick this weekend. Reddick’s blend of oval acumen and recent momentum positions him as our smartest pick. As far as the In-Season Challenge winner, I’ll go with Dillon to finish the job in what has been a Cinderella run for him.
